Saemor Capital was founded in 2008 with the backing of insurance company AEGON as a cornerstone investor. We have built an institutional infrastructure with 23 employees. We have 8 on the investment team, blending seasoned experienced Portfolio Managers and junior analysts. 

Investors we like to partner with include institutional investors, such as pension funds and their consultants, fund of hedge funds, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds, as well as family offices, wealth managers and private investors.

Saemor is an Alternative Investment Fund Manager, under AIFMD license since 22 July 2014 from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), with further supervision from the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). Saemor is eligible to passport its distribution activities in the main countries across Europe. In 2017, the AFM approved the licence extension, which allows Saemor to perform managed accounts (MiFID II).

We have appointed well-known, proven and independent service providers.

Prime Brokers
The Fund has appointed Morgan Stanley, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays as Prime Brokers to the Fund with responsibility for custody of part of the Fund’s assets. All three are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) of the United Kingdom in the conduct of their securities divisions.

Morgan Stanley is one of the market leaders in prime brokerage globally, with extensive experience in equities prime brokerage, making it the ideal choice for the Fund. 

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has a highly-regarded prime brokerage division that is part of a leading American Bank that is committed to equities prime brokerage. 

Barclays Bank has a prime brokerage division with deep knowledge of quantitative equities strategies, a strength that is particularly relevant to Saemor.
